just go to a coin shop and buy a couple of one ounce ingots. .999 fine will do. you should be able to buy them for spot plus a little percentage over that. they dont even have to be pretty because you can clean them.

get the rectangle bars, not the rounds(coins). they are much easier to work with. even easier is silver wire. i have no experience with that but it is available on the web, even at ebay.

if you want the best, canadian maple leafs would be my choice. although they are rounds, they are .9999 fine (possible 90% less contaminants) and backed by the canadian gov.
