Can someone tell me does the bile from the gallblader get pumped up through the liver and then into the small/large intestine (not sure). The reason I ask is I thought that the bile flowed up through the bile ducts and on its way takes the stones stuck in the bile ducts with it? But when I look at the black and white diagram it seems to me that the bile enters the intestine a totally different way, south of the liver. If it does not travel through the liver then how do the stones from the liver come out.
