It does sound rather barbaric to be removed of this part of the anatomy.

Hygiene was the excuse
But my father who was not circumsized and he told me (in his later years after my mom died) that if a uncircumsized male is not having sexual realtionships then the foreskin tend to adhere to the shaft...so there really are health issues later in life- that is if you are not using the ...ah hem member

So maybe this is why?

All this emphasis on size- this sexulazation of the most intimate sharing of energies-I do not understand it
