The methods you mention all are WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These methods are hard on a 5 year old as well weaken and create a worse situation.

RAW FRUITS can't go wrong.

CAN'T eat raw fruit, then please purchase the colon book for $7.95, it even has a formula to make CANDY type laxitive for children.
