the acv is a great idea. also he may try rubbing a bit of jojoba oil into his scalp after showering. this basically cured my dandruff. neem oil is also good for the scalp. if you get some essential oils you can add a little sage and rosemary oil to the jojoba. the scalp loves both of those.
