I have Seborrhea which is similiar to eczema that appears on the scalp and face.
I have read many product recommendations for Nizoral 1% or 2% as being the best brand out there for scalp dandruff or seborrhea. I tried it and it wasn't bad but I was afraid to use it because of the harsh toxic ingredients in it. I was looking for a natural product with tea tree oil, selenium, apple cider vinegar or something(all good stuff).
So thanks to AUNTY on ECZEMA curezone I decided to try Apricot Baby Oil. Aunty's posts are a wealth of information. This oil is especially effective for cradle cap in babies. But for adults I was skeptical. So I decided to give it a try, can't hurt. I was told to use 1 teaspoon applied every night topically for 3 weeks. I left it in on all night...placed a towel on my pillow. After 10 days my scalp is 100% cleared. This is after chronic stubborn dandruff and flaking, slight redness. Redness was minimal because I take flaxseed oil 1 tablespoon a day for inflammation. This product contains Vitamin E, Beta carotene, rosemary oil and wheat germ oil among others. It's that simple!!! Give the scalp what it needs!!!
The smell is pleasant and I slept like a baby. To maintain a healthy scalp I plan to use this 2wice a week but I will leave it on for 30 minutes instead of all night. If that doesn't work for me I will update here. In the meantime, I am doing all my cleanses and building up my immune system by healing the gut etc. This is how to beat eczema at the cause = remission.
If you have any questions post here and I will respond. More reviews of apricot oil are on drugstore.coms website. Remember naturally all the way!!
