I seem to remember the million dollar man having an episode on this very subject. Nice to believe man can control the weather but not possible...yet...at least not in fine detail. i.e. I want to rain on spot X on day Y in 2007.

Escalating weather systems are caused by man..but we all cause it not some machine located in an underground bunker. The debate about hurricanes being man made worries me. It is as if people don't want to admit that it is our human greed and arrogance/ignorance which is the root cause.
