Some say it is the hypnogogic state. Others claim it is actual Out of Body Experiences. When you are disconnected from your body you often hear loud noises. You are also typically alarmed and fearfull of an evil presence.

Use it to your advantage. Try and walk or roll away from your body. Explore and experiment. People spend countless hours meditating to get into the state you have accidently stumbled on to.

You have nothing to fear but fear itself.
