Sounds like a yeast infection to me too - sometimes I think I get "almost" yeast infections - not terribly different discharge then normal but different enough to notice a difference .. not to mention the mild itching. Not the same as a full blown yeast infection.

But since you say you are itchy afer your period stops that leads me to believe that it is indeed something to do with yeast as yeast hates menstrual blood and will seem to "clear up" during your period and then resurface afterwards.
