i wholeheartedly suggest you grow your own specifically to eat like any garden veggie. use a good clean medium and feed the plants like you would yourself, with distilled water and organic fertilizer. most grass you see in yards is weeded and feeded to the point of being too toxic to even consider eating. a semi-sheltered window box would be even better, protecting the plants from the nasty particles which precipitate out of the polluted air we breathe. garbage in - garbage out!
