Some time ago, after reading many articles about the benefits of Aloe Vera, I bought some. I had a very strong reaction to it, extreme gut pains and very bad diahrea. I also tried some a friend had, with the same reaction (she was FINE with it, so I thought I might be too, as it was a different make).

I have come across others who have this reaction to it, and have since heard that it has this effect on many, which is why it is good at correcting constipation! I used it all up in other ways, it was extremely good at removing veruccas on my childrens' feet, and I used it on cuts and burns, even on my hair, but I wouldn't use it internally again.

I think perhaps that some are more prone to this effect than others, it really didn't suit me. BTW I have problems with intestinal inflammation, which could have been why I reacted so badly. Although I have read reports on it being helpful in Crohn's disease, it wasn't in my case.
