I have also had the same effect (low sex drive) but wondering if it is all in my head. I also have constant spotting and bleed sometimes after sex. I have had Mirena for almost one year now. I have also had blood in urine and more than a trace. I have had two catscans and a scope put up my bladder. I have been to numerous doctors and no one can give me answers. My doctor says the IUD couldn't be causing the blood in my urine??? Anyone else have this? I am frustrated because I have no alternative method to use because I can't take hormones because of permanent melasma (mask of pregnancy) on my face caused from hormones and taking the pill for so many years. Sex isn't fun anymore because of the bleeding and sometimes it hurts. Don't know what to do-- I went to the doctor earlier today (AGAIN) and he is going to try and put me on some prometrium medicine for a few months. I have tried this before and it didn't work to straighten out my system. This medicine has hormones in it and that is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. I have to go see a second urologist to see why there is blood in my urine and have another scope put in my bladder. It really doesn't seem to be worth all this. I may have had blood in the urine before but it never came up until I had the IUD --very weird coincindence. Doctor says these side effects are rare--spotting this long, bleeding after sex, etc. and says the hormones are localized and not in my blood stream. He says that Paraguard would have more side effects. Thanks everyone for all of your info. It helps to know that I am not the only one. Maybe this is all in my head about the depression, bloating feeling, etc. but the spotting and blood in the urine is real. Please let me know if anyone out there has experienced this. Thanks so much
