Being a chemist myself I always wanted a solid proof.

Since pure cholesterol has melting point 148-150ºC (well over boiling point of water!) it is clear, something else must be mixed with cholesterol to lower this parameter to 20-30ºC.

I cannot tell the percentage of those mixtures, but I can catch many components of it via mass spectrometry test.

The instrument type - CI Electrospray-TOF High Resolution
Mariner 5158 (Applied Biosystems)

Found, M/Z : 339, 357, 377, 379, 387(cholesterol), 432, 554, 735

So I have the NUMBERS and don't really care what "the doctor says".
