Dan, you provided a good overview of athlete's foot and treatment but you failed to mention one very important aspect of it. The fungus which causes athlete's foot lives in the human blood stream and until you cure it within the blood, it will never be 'cured' but will always return. That's why the MD treatment is for an oral 'cure' by taking a prescription anti-fungal drug that has to be continued for six months. This drug can cause liver damage in some people. However, with that drug and the kind of treatment you describe, it can be eliminated.
I have battled athlete's foot for more than 60 years and I took that drug some 35 years ago, but my athlete's foot eventually returned. This conditions runs in families and some are more apt to get it and fight it than others. However, after a year of false starts, I began urine therapy almost three months ago, ingesting my own urine in quantities of one cup or more per day. (If that gags you, recognize that every time you eat a piece of beef, pork, chicken, or any other mammal, you are eating not only the blood of that animal, but the urine within that blood. All urine has been circulating within your bloodstream prior to being filtered by the liver and deposited in your bladder. The bacteria that breaks down the food in the intestines in animals is what spreads through the bodies of beef and other products to 'age' it before it comes to market. It's that bacteria that gives meat it's 'yummy' flavor. So, in eating meat you are not only eating blood and urine, but the bacteria which produces fecal material.) Anyway, within three weeks of beginning urine therapy, my athlete's foot condition went away!!! It is still gone. But, just as in the case of the prescription drug this treatment must be continued for many months because the athlete's foot fungus lays dormant in all sorts of places from your shoes and socks, to clothing and bedding, carpets, and under your toenails and skin.
I don't have to worry about discontinuing urine therapy because of the many other benefits I've received, it will be with me for the rest of my life. (With my MD's permission I've discontinued my glaucoma medication because my eye pressure has dropped into the normal range - only after six weeks of urine therapy, which I told him about.)
