Hi dh:
I have had ringworm on my hands, and on every part of my body. Since it's a fungus, it will spread fast. With me, it starts as a few small red areas, could be several in a one sweaty area of the body, or a few in several areas of the body(they seemed to like my face or torso to begin). They look like small red rings at first, then as they grow (some grow faster than others), they still look red, and become raised, sort of crusty, like blisters all around the ring (sort of). They itch and sting. If that's what you have, whatever method you use to kill it, it's necessary to continue treatment even after they've disappeared. Every time I've gotten it, it was from touching a cat, clean or dirty one, doesn't matter, they can all carry it.
Hope this helps.
Julie
