Hi everyone:
I used to have cats, but most carry ringworm dormant. I had candida overgrowth (which I didn't know), and ringworm can be related to this condition. I had it very badly 3 times, and used over the counter preparations. I had a pharmacist suggest clear Iodine tincture - that cured the stinging and itching within a few days, much cheaper, too.
I used xylitol (a natural sugar-alcohol, which has antifungal properties) to cure my candida. My husband had athlete's foot every summer for years, until we began using xylitol. This last summer, he never got the foot fungus! Plus, he hasn't had any more cavities (helps the teeth and gums, also). It is not recommended if you have corn or alcohol sensitivities (if the particular brand has corn), and there is a small residue of alcohol due to manufacture. It certainly has made our life better!
Hope this helps someone.
