I wish the MDA would fund research to determine if stress can aggravate FSH symptoms. I have a personal theory that it can. I aske my neurologist if it was stress related, and he said there hadn't been any studies done and he didn't think so.
Well, this past month I have been feeling really great, but this past week I had a very emotional, stressful event happen regarding a member of my family, plus dealing with the reactions of the rest of the family members. I literally wallowed in distress for about 1 1/2 days. It was one of those Dark Nights of the Soul.
Consequently, I could feel my dystrophy "flare up." I've never heard of anyone with FSH doing this. It's supposed to be slowly progressive, and have plateaus where nothing seems to change. But I currently feel like I am back at square one as far as my healing goes. The pain in my legs is horrible, I'm having trouble sleeping, my muscles get stiff faster, and I can't bend over at all. I'm having trouble standing up from a sitting position, and I can barely lift anything. This is not good.
The good news is that I'm home again and can focus on healing.
Blessings,
-Donna
