Dear ones,

I don't think it is only Christians who believe that the whole person is made up of three parts, the spirit, the soul, and the body. As a Christian, I do know this is true. I have known with my mind that you could take two parts of your being and control the other part, for better or worse. You can take the body and the mind, and completely destroy your spirit through sin. You can take your spirit and your mind, and completely destroy your body. On the other hand, if the spirit says "I have been healed, the disease is gone," and the mind agrees, "That's right- I no longer have this disease," then the two together can start convincing the body that it is well.

It seems to me that the spirit and the mind can then start telling the body to move into alignment or agreement. I believe the body listens to what we tell it.

I can take the written word of God, which I believe in as a Christian, and speak it out loud, and let my ears hear my voice. I think this has to be very powerful. I can believe what the words say. Why wouldn't I believe the very words of God? I can take captive those thoughts which say "I am weak," and remind myself, "Wait a minute, I'm healed. Body, catch up with reality."

I thank God and give Him mighty praise for this new awareness.
