Hi Flora!

I am NO authority on water. I distill my family's water because our city tap water is some of the worst in the country. I was buying bottled water until I found out the plastic leaches out into the water when it sits in a hot warehouse waiting to get shipped. I figured I was wasting money on something that was just as bad as the tap water.

I use distilled water because the most trusted natural healers in the world use it or used it, and their patients got well. If something works, I see no reason to fix it.

I know Dr. Mercola recommends spring water because distilled water is "empty," containing no minerals. He claims that distilled water leaches minerals out of your body. But he also says he can see the benefit of using distilled water during the detoxification process. I am in that process, so I use distilled water. A person doing the initial steps to try to cure MD will be taking in a lot of minerals through food and supplements, so I don't think mineral depletion is an issue.

I'm just now learning about structured water. I don't have an opinion about it yet. There are folks that distill their water first and then restructure it before drinking it. There's a forum here on CZ about this topic if you are interested in exploring.

Go with your intuition, Flora. If you think reverse osmosis is better for you, then, by all means, do it! I think the more options available for people to consider and experiment with, the better!

Blessings,
-Donna
