A few things come to mind...and forgive me if these don't seem pertinent...I just wrote an exam and I'm losing my mind...

I totally think Sanger's achievements and beliefs should be criticized. I don't however think the Planned Parenthood of today holds her racist views as gospel.

I also don't think Rev. Hunter represents the entire black community. You're going to have pro-lifers and pro-choicers in every ethnic group, and here he makes it sound as if every black woman who has ever had an abortion was somehow duped into doing it. Doesn't give much respect to their intellect, does it?

Also, black women have been having abortions long before Mrs. Sanger came into the picture, so her witchy ways are not to blame. Women slaves were known to abort their babies as a form of revolt ("no child to be born in chains") and I can assure you there weren't Planned Parenthood clinics on the plantations!
