I don't know which christians you are referring to . We are born with sin but a child is INNOCENT. They havent had a chance to decide. Jesus said" suffer the little children to come unto me". Let them be in other words. God is Just. A thing that hasn't lived or known or understood evil cannot be judged. We must know right from wrong to be judged. Jesus was baptised at 12. This is the age of accountability.
I do not believe in infant baptism. That is not needed. They cannot be cleaned of something they haven't even decided they want to be or accept yet. At the same time they don't know about good or evil.
