Hi,

I suffered from interstitial cystitis for many years with no relief. I went to urologists who put me on medications and suffered through many procedures that did not help. The program that worked for me was a book called The Yeast Syndrome by John Parks Trowbridge. First I followed the reduced yeast diet for 1 month. I went from a size 10 to a size 8. Then, for the second month, I continued the diet and then I combined the following medications: diflucan and nystatin (a powder mixed with water that you drink. It tastes horrible and makes you nauseous and gassy). After 2 weeks on the medications, my horrific PMS pain went away! I went from a size 8 to size 2 and my bladder slowly improved after 10 years of suffering. Losing the inches in my middle was an unexpected bonus but I went on the program for my IC. I still have to keep my Sugar and starch intake low or my symptoms will return.
