I spent the weekend with my best friend, who is an OB/GYN. I know she's pro-choice, as most of these doctors are. I've know the woman for 36 years, and never asked her this question.
So, when do you think life begins?
She said, without hesitating, "when the heart starts beating". That was it in a nutshell. Very interesting.
Heartbeat starts at 8 weeks. Some people think its at viability. Some people think it's strictly at birth. And yes, we all know about you who think it's when sperm goes swimming....! Let's try to get a bit beyond that, please.
What do all the PRO-CHOICE people feel about this out there? Let's discuss and try to ignore all the ninny, nanny, nooney....!
