I had the Mirena coil removed last Friady (16th July)I thought it might be painful as I had to go into hospital to have it inserted under general anasthetic due to scaring through cancer cell removal. I needn't have worried, it was out in no time, I felt no pain what so ever, and I can tell you I was so relieved, felt like a free woman. I have gained 3 stone in a year with the horrible thing and since removal have lost 10lbs in weight, which just proves the point it was that which caused the weight gain. I hope this makes you feel a bit more relaxed about it, and that all goes well for you.
