Hi--I have been trying to find someone who had the Mirena removed. I have never had children and the procedure to have it put in almost killed me. It was so painful and I was screaming so loudly that people in the lobby could hear me. Is the removal even worse? I need to have it taken out in about four months--are there any options for general or local anesthesia? I am simple terrified. They say you don't remember pain, but I can tell you I will never forget the experience of having it put in...I shiver every time I think of it!! ThankS
