Also, have you tried taking your measurements? The scale does not always tell the whole picture.

And, even with modest weight loss, you are still doing something good for your body and you also had a really good test of your willpower.

Sometimes too, your body needs to catch up in terms of the numbers (either weight or measurement-wise) showing whats really going on. This is often the case when people plateau. When you are losing weight, everything is shifting and changing in your body and it has to get used to the new things you are doing to it. Often if you continue through a plateau and don't give up, you may find you have some sudden unexpected moderate to huge drop in weight and you won't know why--it's because it's your body finally catching up.

I used to notice this a lot when I worked as a trainer in a women's gym and would have to take people's weight and measurements all the time.

It's really easy to give up when you plateau, but that's exactly when you need to continue or modify things to keep getting results. It's precisely the point when not to give up!

And when you are fasting, there are other reasons why it would be right to give up, so if that is or were the case, then that is a different story.

In any case, hang in there and be proud of what you accomplished!
