Thankyou so much for posting your experience of Mirena. I was thinking that I was the only one. I have been so depressed and permanently close to tears for the last 6 weeks - since I had the device fitted.

At 38 and after 16 years of the pill I am really hoping that this will get better and work for me. I would love to know if anyone has come through this dark time. Could these symptoms be the result of coming off the pill? Will my mood improve if I wait 3 or 4 months?

I have had no history of Depression before, yet I really feel overwhelmed by life at the moment - but there really is nothing wrong. Is there anyone out there who has survived a Mirena Depression and come through it?
