While I know it sort of doesn't make sense I am currently fasting while smoking. When I fasted for 3 days on water I found that by the end of the 3rd day I was smoking very little and felt terrible when I did. I have read, in my research, that fasting helps alleviate the addiction. I plan to quit smoking during the fast, once it becomes uncomfortable, and I will let you know if it makes it easier at all.
