well it's not painful. They don't actually staple into your ear. It is a metal staple that is gently fastened to the cartlige sp? of you ear. Alot of people are doing it where I live and the results are fast. The nurse that works with me has had it in for 1 1/2 weeks and has lost 10lbs already. She said it doesn't hurt when they fasten it in. There is no bleeding. She keeps it in as long as she needs. Usually a chiropractor does it because it is considered accupuncture. I am watching her progress and if she keeps doing well. I'm going to try it. You hardly notice the staple. It costs $45.00 where I live.
