Hi all. I was actually kind of suprised to hear about the Mirena. Almost 2 years ago I had the paragard inserted and am totally in love with it! I had never heard of the Mirena until yesterday while browsing this site. So I went to read about it online and found that it actually excretes some sort of hormones and realized that is why my OBGYN didn't mention it to me. I have issues with hormones of any kind-they make me gain weight, lots of it. So I am loving the paragard, but am curious to know if it kills the sex drive. Since having my inserted, I am totally not interested in sex, won't gain weight without the hormones, just void of sexual desire. So am curious to know if the Mirena also kills the sex drive?
