When studying the Bible, it is very relative to understand the moral law versus ceremonial law and to whom each are directed/given along with when and their purpose. It's also important to realize that what God doesn't want, and what the Bible teaches(one can see this by not even reading what was said thru Paul) is that righteousness isn't attained by human keeping of any Law of God(here is a difference between religion of working to be accepted and relationship thru finished work of Jesus and a person being counted as God's workmanship that will have evidence of being conformed to the image of the Messiah). Besides, some things man wants to do for acceptance were directed toward God's chosen people...Israel...rather than mankind in general. Abel wasn't counted righteous because of sabbath keeping(didn't have that directive). He wasn't even counted righteous because of sacrificing a lamb rather than vegetation. Nor was Abraham counted righteous thru circumcision of the flesh. Nor are believers today counted righteous thru water baptism or any other outward work. They are counted righteous thru the circumcision of the heart...as it has always been. FAITH They also do not ever lose that righteousness because of personally disobeying any point of any law at any point in time after counted righteous thru the imputed righteousness of Jesus(not a license to sin but a revealing that the law of sin resides in the human body of flesh). Only Jesus, being God Himself, is on the higher plane of being perfect and the only One to be perfectly able to keep His own Law...no prophet of God ever had that as true for themself because that would mean salvation could then be found thru following them(Jesus said, "Follow 'Me'"). God uses imperfect people He made righteous in "being"(perfect doing comes when absent from the body) because of having Him as their Passover yet those people perfectly were enabled to point to Him as they Way, Truth, Life. God has never changed though He has given many things for us to understand Him better thru the pages of time. Paul changed nothing but did speak concerning what God intended and revealed in the fulness of time(nothing new at all).
