That is precisely why we are 'to test the spirits' to make sure what we are hearing is truly from God as there are many gods trying to get their message through. What is the guiding principle or plumb line, if you will...for determining if those "revelations" truly are from God or from some other source? Do we have an absolute from which to measure all actions?

I certainly understand why you would have a problem with people that believe that God speaks to them personally when it seems to exempt that individual from personal choices and responsibility. Please understand Wiz, that from my own past experience, when God has spoken to me it was only for my own personal exhortation or comfort.

You and I agree on a lot of things, even if we disagree on whether or not the Word of God is the final authority or revealed "truth". I happen to think that it is.

As for GW...I just heard that statement on the radio at lunchtime today and can only say...if he did not hear God at all and only his own ego talking...then he will have to answer to God for that!

You have a good day...I am learning from all even if I do disagree with some of it.

Blessings,
E
