HI,
I too became a vegetarian, actually I was trying for years, and always end up giving in, and afterwards would feel guilty, Now I have been a vegetarian for one full year..at first it was a bit difficult, but I started slowly, I started eating only seafood and avoiding meat, then after one month, I cut the seafood as well..and only had eggs, and for one year now, I don't eat any meat, fish, eggs or drink milk....and I find that I am saving more money now, than before. First you have to ask yourself, why are you doing this? why do you want to become a vegetarian. than you take it slowly from there. If you are trying to lose weight too, its great. These are a few things I buy and eat regularily. Brown Rice, Potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Soy Milk, Egg free Pasta, Whole Wheat Bread, lots of fruits. I have no sugar, and use less salt, no soda, or sweetened juices, just plain water, and unsweetened juice with the pulp. When eating, I take my time, chew my food properly, and remind myself of the purpose of being vegetarian. I view my body as a temple, and when I chose to eat unhealthy food that goes against my purpose, I say to myself, My body is a temple, it deserves the purest and healthiest food. I feel that I honour my body by having natural foods, and in return it does abundance for me too.
I hope this helps, feel free to email me at any time, I am here to offer any support I can: soniyamystical@hotmail.com
