I don't know if soy is good or bad or if it's good or bad for you. I know it's not bad for me. I recently read an article saying that soy developed sexual disfunctions, impairs thyroid function due to the high levels of isoflavones, exposes you to excesively high amounts of estrogens, and it has potentially high concentrations of manganese. I'm allergic to milk so I recently started using soy milk (whole beans) in my shakes in the morning, I eat soy yoghurt almost everyday, and eat roasted soy beans as a snack once in a while. After having irregular periods ever since I quit 'the pill' two years ago, my periods have been regular for the past two months. I have been off my thyroid supplement for about a month and haven't felt the need for it. And beleive me I haven't had any sexual disfunction. So while that what was said in the article may be true for some, and that you should not give your infant soy formula, I strongly agree with, every person is different. I haven't had a problem with soy and I may be bold in saying this but I am not about to stop using it just because it may be toxic. There are many products much more toxic on the market than soy and few say much about those.
