whoa carol, thanks for your input on organic dairy and eggs. i too feel that they are nutritious food that can benefit vegetarians greatly. but many fanatic vegetarian or vegans think other wise, their talk is more based on their strong beliefs than their consideration for their own health or that of other people's. they advocate the use of soy and find it offending to read that soy is toxic, once again their saying this is based more on their belief which has nothing to do with health. they are afraid that if people read about the ill effects of soy on people's health, it would turn people away from vegetarianism. but aren't soy also used in large amounts in animal feeds, and also canola? because they allow the animals to gain weight so fast before they get slaughtered during their few-years lifetime? isn't it the same agro-businesses who hire hordes of scientists to prove that soy is good for us and also hire hordes of lawyers to sue people who say otherwise? from my own experience, soy and canola does indeed make me feel worse. that and what i read in john thomas's book "young again!" and the information i read on websites like http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz confirms for me that soy (organic or not) really does suck. you're right in saying that we should be avoiding much of the soy out there!
