Hello Friends,

Please help. I need a recommendation from anyone who has tried various vegetarian cookbooks on their families. I need to start eating vegetarian because of my sensitive gall bladder but the rest of my family are the meat n' potatoes type eaters. I believe they would try to go along if only I could learn how to make good vegetarian meals very well! That doesn't happen overnight, especially since I am just beginning to learn. No time to experiment and too ill to prepare two different meals for myself and them. I don't want something which is necessarily gourmet, just down-home cooking that even a man like mine could learn to love. I know with him, how it looks is important and lack of "weird" ingredients is important, too. Also, I am concerned for my own health on how to get enough protein in a vegetarian meal. Does anyone have an idea of what I am looking for or any experience with any GREAT vegetarian cookbooks? Please help! By the way, what's the difference between vegetarian and vegan?
