I'm surprised that you are salivating so much, maybe I can't remember back to day 4, but I do know that my main problem was how dry my mouth was, as if there were no reason for it to continue producing spit if I wasn't going to put anything in. Even after breaking it last time I recall it took a day or 2 for me to get up enough saliva to eat my food without having to chew for a half an hour, lol.
I guess what I'm saying is that I don't know the answer to your question, but my general attitude is not to worry about anything unless it hurts. So if you start hurting, then worry about it!

p.s. I doubt your stomach is digesting itself, and if it were I'm not sure that a symptom of it would be excess salivation...?!
