I asked in another forum relating to alkalizing yesterday about having heartburn/stomach acid while juice fasting and I literally had my head bit off. The host of the forum accused me of doing a 63 day fast so I could "bragg" about doing a long juice fast. It was really crazy and a bit rude.

So I am hoping you guys (who obviously believe in juice fasting and seem to be more compassionate with your answers) might have some input.

For the last week I have been having heartburn and excess stomach acids - makes my chest heavy and sits near my throat. It makes me burb and I try drinking water to make it pass but it does not help. If I drink more juice it goes away for about 2 hours and returns. Do you have any suggestions for keeping this problem/burning under control? Is this a common problem while juicing? I am feeling amazing otherwise and I am hoping to do 90 day fast, but the heartburn is really uncomfortable.

Any ideas?
