As Hijiki is only a Japanese seaweed as far as I know , then yes, ask at your wholefood store. It is a Michio Kushi highly recommended one. I can possibly post a recipe here during the weekend, so do not despair. Here in Aotearoa, pre-pacaged Hijiki from Japan cost approx US3.50 - US4 for 50grammes. BUT it does go a long way and is really worth it . I also use any local seaweeds but I am lucky since I live on the coast. I use any seaweed in anything. I eat it as is, raw or dried. I put it in anything too...bread, muffins , salads, you are only limited by your imagination. The best recipe I can give you and the only one you really need is this...Just chuck some in !!Your body will love you for it.
