Hi

I'm busy trying to work out a plan for aluminum chelation too. So far, through studying on the net, I have found out that DMSA and DMPS do not chelate Alu. There is a medicine called Desferrioxamine which is supposed to be great for Alu poisoning. This is taken as intramusclour (sp?) injections. As I doubt my doctor will prescribe this for me as he doesn't believe in heavy metal poisoining, I am trying to find alternatives.

So far I have found that the most important step to take is to supplement with magnesium. This mineral apparently compeets with Alu in brain also. Silisium/silica is supposed to chelate Alu. I have recently started taking this as a gel form supplement, so fingers crossed. Alu is mostly excreted via the kidneys so drinking lots of water is important. Calcium and zinc also helps lower Alu accumulation. I have read many conflicting reports of malic acid. Some say it actually raises Alu in the brain area. I did try taking malic acid and my mental symptoms worsened a lot so I stopped it. I'm using the cilantro herb for brain detox as this mobilizes Aluminum in addition to mercury.

I see you are aware of the many Alu sources. Personally I have stopped wearing make-up which contains Alu. Very difficult as most of the expensive brands which I prefer, contain Alu in some form. I did manage to find a Clinique product called; stay-matte sheer pressed powder oil free, which seems to be Alu-free according to the ingredients list. I am going to try to find a lipstick without Alu too.

Anyway, this is the info I have found so far ; )
