BA - in order to get mercury out of the brain ALA is needed. It may be that some of the mental symptoms could be alleviated with diet, medications or supplements before and during chelation. In order to determine what might help the symptoms you would have to look at Andy Cutler's Amalgam Illness book (www.noamalgam.com)

What I do is divide the powder evenly on a piece of paper and then load empty capsules with the right amount, and swallow the capsules. There are ideas at this web page
