Hey blonde Amazon, thanks again for the reply. I also heard I can take ALA and DMSA at the same time, every 4 hours. another thing is that my DMSA is 100mg capsules. Perhaps 100mg capsules ever 4 hours with ALA? I'm 170 pounds (nothing but muscle baby), lol, im jk. would you think this would be ok? and also ALA is the only way to chelate mercury out of the brain? especially for my mental symptoms? let me know, plz! - Mike
Mike,
You can take ALA and DMSA at the same time, but then you would want to take them every 3 h or less. Some people find that they need to take ALA at 2 1/2 h intervals.
It would be best to try the ALA and DMSA separately at first so that you can see what kind of symptoms you get from each and what dose of each is best for you. Then you can combine them.
100 mg DMSA is too high to start. The more toxic the person is the lower the dose they need to start. I would divide the caps by 8 (12.5 mg) and try that.
ALA is the only chelator that will take mercury out of the brain. As long as it has been 3 months since Amalgam removal it's ok to chelate with ALA. Just be sure to try really small doses (remember every 3 h, even at night) and stop if there are problems.
It's a pain to wake up at night to take doses, but it's the only way to get better.
There may be other things that would help the mental symptoms. Try some alka seltzer gold. Eating small frequent meals helps keep blood Sugar levels constant and that helps the brain too.
