Hi! Good for you!!

I would suggest you try a three day cleanse for your first fasting experience. Eat a very clean diet, preferably just fruits in the morning, vegetables in the afternoon, for 1-3 days before you begin. This will help you to avoid any detox crises which can be uncomfortable the first week of any fast. DELETE caffeine, sugar, breads etc. etc.... this is a pre-cleanse. For a longer fast, do a longer pre-cleanse.

DO plan to do a colon cleansing routine every day you fast. You can drink a strong cup of herbal lax tea in the evening, and another in the morning. OR, lax tea pm, salt water flush in the morning.

Salt water flush takes some practice! It is pretty icky, but does an excellent top to bottom cleanse of your digestive system. Mix 2 tsp. uniodized Sea Salt (from a health food store) with 1 qt. warm, pure water. I make it pretty warm, and tell myself it is broth! DRINK IT! In about an hour, it will exit the other end, carrying all manner of gunk with it! A very impressive experience, takes some getting used to and may be best reserved for weekends if you work! OR you can substitute an enema for any/all of the above. But DO a routine every day you fast. This will help your body to take out the trash and avoid detox crises!

Many times an enema has stopped a detox crisis in its tracks for me. You can go to the forum here at curezone, enemas & colonics, and learn to do a proper one. Well worth the trouble if you are serious about cleansing.

Now, drink fruit juices in the am, when your body is naturally cleansing, and veggies in the pm when you are rebuilding! Add cayenne and/or fresh garlic to your veggie juices if possible. Drink lots of pure water along with all this.

And after three days, break with the same diet as the pre-cleanse, for a couple of days. GRADUALLY add other foods back to your diet, keeping it CLEAN! The worst mistake you can make is to break badly (i.e., a Big Mac!!! :) )

Let us know if we can help you reach your goals!

Best to you,
Somer
