I'm sorry to hear about your trials with fertility and the drugs. From the many things I have read, infertility is a sign that health is greatly depleted. The reproductive organs are the first to be cut off when deficiencies occur. I believe it is a prevention mechanism. A way to prevent the next generation from being born overly deficient in nutrients that could have an effect on DNA/RNA production that modern medicine can not yet understand. More and more 'congenital' defects are being linked to nutritional deficiencies of the parents at the time of conception. They look 'inherited' because the deficiencies produce the same effects not because the genes are necessarily altered. Of course, some genes can be altered by the malnourishments. I sometime wonder if this is the cosmic version of 'The sins of the father...', and our personal punishments for the havoc our culture has brought upon the earth.

My first(only) child was born 2 months preemie, but fortunately came out okay. But I miscarried my second. I was too malnourished from undiagnosed celiac disease, something that new research is showing to be a common cause of infertility. Then I divorced before fertility became an issue again.

Fortunately, through the quest for good health, and healing, fertility can be restored, and the babies from healthy parents will be much more healthy in the long run. One site gives some pretty helpful information about nutrition and fertility.
