Hi Sheldon,
The prednisone I was perscribed was just temporary to reduce inflammation and weining off of it is done gradually under the care of a doctor. The new medication salofalk is to gradually introduced as a mild anti-inflammatory to be taken on a regular basis. Its apparently much the same as Pentasa but the pentasa was no longer responding to my system. They all treating the symstoms rather that the disease. I have been taken the vitamins recommedded and no other suppliments. The blood seems to be getting less and less but still appears at least once a day. considering the shape my colon was in I beleive its healing well. I would rather not travel but it's what I must do to make an honest living. I will try my hardest to follow the diet and to even experiment tring new veggies.
