i am also 19 and have had Acne since about grade 9 or 10. i tried zinc, and it really did nothing for me. but... at the time i think i was eating terribly. zinc alone is not the answer, but perhaps it could help in a combination with many other things? you should go to a naturopath. they (or at least most of them) can test you for deficiencies. he/she can tell you if you're deficient in zinc. but naturopaths are very expensive to see. you could just try taking zinc; it can't hurt (unless you take too much).
