I have red blotches that I'm sure a dermotologist would say it's sun related but I'm not so sure. I've been using "over the counter" skin lightening cream that contains 3% Hydroquinone. It's lightened the blotches a bunch and also a dark pimple scar too. I've read that Kojic acid also works well and is natural, but can't find anything with it in the stores. After my last liver cleanse i've noticed the blotches lightening up much more in the last week. I've dealt with this skin thing for 4 yrs now and trying to see if it's liver related. Your problem will eventually heal, but will take along time(my pimple scars always took a long time to heal). Maybe try some of the skin lightening stuff and see if it helps.
