One of the things that is equally important when doing NHRT is to keep the liver at an optimal functioning level so that it does process the hormones most effectively & efficiently. My ND has me on several liver detoxifying agents: Caster oil packs over the liver 2x/week; Lipotropic complex- a natural supplement (you probably have to get this through a doctor), which helps liver function as well as detoxification; fresh organic beet juice.

A couple of things that will aid in eliminating/converting the "bad" estrogens into "good" estrogens:
Indole 3-Carbinol - a natural supplement(probably through a doctor); FRESH ground flax seed 2x/day (use it w/in 15 minutes of grinding or it goes rancid).
