my boyfriend whom is now my ex cheated on me this past weekend.
with his ex girlfriend. now he is telling me he is sorry and that he loves me

we planned on having kids together (in the future) i love him with all of my heart and i just don't know what to do.

situation:
i went to his home on Friday his ex was there it was midnight she lives 3 hours away
i guess she had to take a test for school that friday and didn't want to drive home
so he let her stay. didn't tell me didn't call me just kept it a secret until i showed up. we argued and I hit him...says that is why he cheat...says he didn't plan on it he was just letting her stay because she was tired. yet she stayed the whole weekend and she knew nothing about me

his reason: he didn't think that i cared because i didn't spend enough time with him
i didn't make and effort to visit him he felt as if he was the only one trying in the relationship (all true, i didn't)reason i didn't is because I was giving him his space he is getting his MBA and his weekends had been booked since the superbowl with classes, and his mom being sick so i was giving him his space. he took it as i was ignoring him and that i was cheating on him with my ex because I still talk to my ex on a daily he calles me...my ex of 2 yrs have no feeling for him at all. but he though that i still did (mind you I never saw my ex it was just phone conversations)

question: not sure if i can get over the fact the he disrespect me and had a woman stay at his house for the whole weekend when she could have gone home on saturday and he did sleep with her just to prove a point to me?

help me please i do love this man and he says he loves me and we have been distant the past couple of month

he has been communicating with her via e-mail since January
