Hi!

I agree: forgiveness is essential for healing. But it comes in layers, this is the only way we can deal with deep hurts.
Forgivness by faith is very important and the fist step of the process. It is like
saying: even thoug I have been deeply hurt, I choose to forgive, and I forgive in the name of Jesus..

After that, resentment begins to disolve little by little and compassion and understanding begin to grow.

But it is more like planting a seed and seeing the plant grow. It is not a one moment event, it is more a process..
